VEGETABLE SOUP [Calorie Count: 89]
(preparation time: 15 minutes, cooking time: 25 minutes, serves 6.)

Ingredients:


FOR THE STOCK
2 TABLESPOONS MOONG DAL
2 ONIONS
2 LARGE TOMATOES
OTHER INGREDIENTS
1 CHOPPED ONION
1 SHREDDED CARROT
1/2 TEACUP SHREDDED CABBAGE
1/2 TEACUP CHOPPED SPINACH
1 TABLESPOON TOMATO KETCHUP
1 CHOPPED TOMATO
2 TEASPOONS OIL
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
FOR SERVING
3 TABLESPOONS GRATED CHEESE


Preparation :
Cut the onions and tomatoes into big pieces. Add the moong dal and 6 teacups of water and cook in a pressure cooker till the first whistle. When cooked, blend in a liquidiser and stain. Heat the oil and fry the onion for 1 minute. Add the stock, carrot,cabbage and spinach and boil for 10 minutes. Add the ketchup, chopped tomato, salt and pepper and boil for 10 minutes.
