Zooni (Kajol), a blind Kashmiri girl, meets Rehan Qadri (Aamir Khan), a local tour guide and an incorrigible flirt, who goes from city to city exploring their architecture and also the women. Zooni's friends warn her against this good-for-nothing roadside Romeo, but she chooses to ignore them. She is not one to be protected. It is now her time to discover life, and love. Is this really the right choice?
Rehan is fascinated by Zooni. He truly wants her to see life as it should be seen, in its many colours - and as he promises her, the time spent with him will be the most precious in all her life. Zooni sees Delhi , life and love like she never has before, because of Rehan.
What Zooni doesn't know is that Rehan has another side of his life that he has kept from her - something that can not only change her life, but can also destroys it.
Yash Raj film has done it once again. After a long time the audience has got to see a film which is perfect. The film works on every level: script, music, visuals, technique and yes, the performances. Though initially you will feel that this film is like any other boy-meets-girl-and-falls-in-love-film but once the story unfolds you come across lots of emotional and interesting twist of tale. The climax will rip your heart apart. The only drawback is the film is very lengthly and tends to drag post interval.
Cinematography [Ravi K. Chandran] is excellent. Dialogues [Kunal Kohli] are excellent. Music [Jatin-Lalit] is pleasing to the ears. The acting is of the highest caliber. Aamir is a treat to watch and will definitly bag an award for this role. Kajol is back and has given a superb performance. Her performance only makes you realize why she's still the best in the business. Moreover, she looks gorgeous all through! Rishi Kapoor is efficient. Kiron Kher is lovable. Tabu gets limited footage; she's just okay. Rest of the cast lend able support.
Overall Fanaa is worth a watch.
